With this letter, we want to introduce you the European youth centre Centro Europa Joven of San Blas(Madrid).
Nowadays, Europe and its institutions offer many opportunities to young people in Madrid. But either by ignorance or by lack of motivation or orientation, there are just a few who benefit from them. The European Union, the Parliament, the Council of Europe, NGO´s… can offer opportunities to travel, to study, to experience another culture, to make voluntarism, to learn languages, personal development,…
The Centro Europa Joven de San Blas tries to be a resource that puts Europe and its opportunities at disposal of young people in Madrid
What do we want?
The Centro Europa Joven , born with the intention to be a project close to young people. The space is designed for them, with schedule and rules directed to the youngest public. Besides, our project is based on a methodology of "active proximity", we receive and orient who may come to our centre. And also we go out to the street, to universities, to youth organisations in order to show young people thanks to participative methodologies what Europe can offer them..
And it is that young people we have not realised, but we are already in Europe. An open Europe that offers us new opportunities to study, to travel, to work, to learn and to enjoy a continent that is ours.
